The GYROTONIC® method is an orginal, and unique movement method that enables simultaneous lengthening and strengthening of muscles, stimulates circulation, and enhances joint mobility, and coordination. GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions, with corresponding breathing patterms. Yoga, meaning “to join” or “to unite”, is known to be the oldest physical discipline in existence dating back almost 5,000 years.
Yoga unites the practice of mastering postures (asanas), controlled breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dhyana), creating an ultimate harmony between the body, breath and mind. With a dedicated practice, physical benefits include toning and strengthening the entire musculoskeletal system working not only the “core”, but the density of the bones, mobility of the joints, elasticity of the connective tissues and stimulation of the internal organs and nervous system. We offer different styles of this practice including Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga and Flow (vinyasa) Yoga.


TRX Suspension Training is a type of total-body resistance training that uses your own body weight and gravity, to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability, all while preventing injuries. Every exercise you have to engage your core. Now you may think that your core is just your abdominals, however it is more than that! Your core includes the pelvis, abs, back and chest muscles. It is this core that offers your body stability, balance and flexibility. Everything you do in your life starts with your core, whether it is bending over to pick up the pen you dropped on the floor, washing your car, playing basketball with your kids, or participating in an Ironman. A strong and stable core is important to help prevent injuries, not just in your low back but in your entire body.     This workshop examines how the Halo® Trainer can be used to take advantage of movement patterns that recruit muscles of the global stabilizer system. The global stabilizer system of muscles functions in an integrated sling system. Each sling is comprised of several muscles and other structures. Together, they produce forces that assist in the transfer of loads that is essential to the control of movement. The focus of this workshop will be on the neuromuscular training of multiple muscle groups and motor patterns through anatomical linkages that unite the muscles of both the pelvic girdle and shoulder girdle to the spine resulting in improved functional outcomes.     Pilates Suspension Method 3.0 (Strength, Grace, and Power) Date : October 11, 2019 Time: 1pm-7pm Limit of Students: 18 In the PSM 3.0 Course you will learn 77 ESSENTIAL, INTERMEDIATE, and ADVANCED level Pilates based exercises on the Suspension Trainer.     Pilates Suspension Method Playmaker Date: Saturday, October 12, 2019 Time: 8am-2pm Limit of Students: 18 In the PSM Playmaker Course, we will cover all three workouts included in the Playmaker Manual.  Each exercise in the first workout will be reviewed, discussed, and practiced for the first hour.  Then the students will be taught a mock class of the first workout.  This format will be repeated for the other two workouts, with a 5-minute break between workouts.  This is a great way to learn how to put together a safe, effective, and progressive Pilates Suspension Method Class or series of fluid exercises.  You are not required to take any of the other courses beforehand, but it is HIGHLY recommended.
