Imagine an exercise program that you look forward to, that engages you, and that leaves you refreshed and alert with a feeling of physical and mental well-being. The
Pilates Method (pronounced pul-LAH-teez) of body conditioning will do all this...and more.

Developed in the 1920s by the legendary Joseph H. Pilates, the Pilates Method is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body without building bulk. After a month of Pilates, people have tighter stomachs, firmer arms and legs, better posture, and feel healthier and stronger—not wiped out.

“You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions,
and have a completely new body in 30 sessions,”

                                                                                         Joseph Pilates

Absolute Beginners Pilates Series

All of our Beginner Pilates Introductions now take place in a semi private setting using both mat and reformer instruction.  Limited to 4 people     6 week sessions
A 6 week series for new Pilates clients. Working together in a small group of 4, you'll be introduced to the beginner level Pilates mat and reformer exercises,  with emphasis placed on learning proper Pilates breathing, developing "core" connection, strength, flexibility and proper alignment.. You will begin to understand how to access your Powerhouse muscles and work to maintain that engagement through movement. You will become familiar with your beginning safe ranges of motion and how to tell when you're ready to increase the challenge by increasing your range of motion.  The instructor will provide you with any modifications you may need for weakness, injury or discomfort.
You will see incredible results with mat work but with the added spring resistance of the reformer the outer limbs get more toned more quickly and the apparatus adds variety and aids with alignment and core stabilization.
It's truly the best way to experience the both the diversity and depth of Pilates training.

Mat Level 1(Introduction to Pilates Mat)
Introduces the five basic principles of Pilates to help enhance awareness of your breathing and postural alignment. You will learn the initial Essential Mat repertoire, which is taught in layer one. Modifications are given if needed to promote safety, success and to prevent injuries from occurring.

Mat Level 2
The five basic principles are incorporated in the full essential mat repertoire. The Essential Mat Repertoire is taught in layers so that awareness of the mind and body is fully engaged and increased strength, flexibility, stamina, proper breathing, endurance, balance and neuromuscular coordination are attained. Students build on the full Essential Mat so that layer one Intermediate Repertoire is added.

Mat Intermediate
If you have been practicing Essential Mat (3 - 6 months) you are ready for the Intermediate Mat class. The full intermediate Mat is taught in sequence. This class may include the use of small equipment to enhance understanding of mind/body awareness.

Mat Advanced(6 -12 months of Pilates Mat Repertoire)
You will learn in layers the advanced Mat repertoire. The class may vary from full Mat or include the small equipment to enhance awareness and functional ability. This class improves overall strength, flexibility, endurance, balance and coordination.
The use of the small equipment is incorporated in the Intermediate and Advance Mat Classes. Small equipment includes: BOSU trainer, Arc Barrels, Form Rollers, Flex Bands and Magic Circles.
